How to remove redundant connnectivity server and then reconnect it again
Voted best answer
Hi,
i understand that the 'thing' is to keep this server in Node administration structure.
so to do it the best 'hard' way is to :
the work to be done on the server to be removed
1. Configuration wizard - > maintenance -> stop all processes assosiated with 800xA Base
2. remove folders 'OperateITData' and 'OperateITTemp'
3. delete registry key which You will find under HKLM->software->abb->afw->systems->{GUID} , but do NOT delete {FFFFFF key}
4. restart server
5. now it comes up 'clear' - no system.
6. now to add it again to the system just open Configuration wizard (on this server 'clean' one)
7. choose 'Connect Node' form conf. wizard. select server , later system... Next, next, finish. and Done server added again and its resynchronizing all services.

To remove
Go to the Aspect server then Open config wizard-->system administration-->select the system-->nodes-->Remove server-->select the server to be removed(make sure update remote node is checked)-->finish
To add again
Go to the Aspect server then Open config wizard-->system administration-->select the system-->nodes-->add connectivity server-->Select the server from the drop down box(make sure update remote node and set as default system is checked)-->finish
The user's guides should be able to explain how nodes are removed and added.
Why do you need to remove it?
We recommend keeping nodes and use "Connect node" which does not mess up Affinity and other things.
A bit more info would be appreciated...
