Sounds ambiguous, what you mean by whole plant stop ? And after plant stop how you get it start ? what procedure you are following ?
is it that all controllers, I/O's gets powered off ? or you can see RED error LED's on controller and I/O modules, when plant is getting stop? even after plant stop operator station running and have any system or process alarm? or you get some red cross mark on operator station ?
I can imagine such scenario only in case of somebody programmed system function time based forced cold start, even in that case controller must come back in running condition. Please add more specific information that what is controller and operator station behavior at the time of plant stop ? error LED status ? or any image or screenshot will help.
As it's case of running plant I suggest to get connect with local ABB supportline to get resolve. Hope that helps.
There is no cyclic restart feature in an AC 800F.
Can you describe in more detail how the plant stops? Does the AC 800F go to state stopped, or does it do a reset, or does one or more task go into an "Not executable" state?
What do you do to make it run again?
My guess is, that it might have to do with a variable overrun, that is not automatically handled by the errror task, because it is disabled.
What does the Error-FIFO in the controller diagnostic say at the time when the plant stop happens?
Did you look at the system variables <Resource Name>.ErrorNo, <Resource Name>.ErrorProgra and <Resource Name>.ErrorTask when the controller stopps?
