SD Card Slot - Auto Restore
When accessing an AC700F via the serial on Tera Term there is an option to change which says 'Auto restore from SD-card', by default the option is set to N.
I know how to manually restore a program via the SD-card but cannot find any literature on the logic and basis of operation on the 'auto-restore' function.
Can anybody expand on this?

The auto-restore function works the same for AC 900F and AC 700F, only You don't have an option to set it up from display, so if You need it, You need to use Diagnostic Port.
The logic of autorestore is as follows:
IF the controller powers up WITHOUT application/program (it doesn't have configuration downloaded, either because there was power out without battery back-up or the controller was initialized) AND the "auto-restore from SD card" function is on AND there is a SD card in the slot with proper application back up THEN the back up will be loaded from the SD as a part of power up procedure.
If any of the above mentioned requirements is not met, the controller will power up without restoring the application from SD card.
Hope this helps,
If SD card is inserted and whenever controller get powered up, controller boots from SD card and runs application backup stored on SD card. For that in AC900F there is option F3 in boot configuration menu on display for Enable autoresotre need to be enabled. But I am not sure for AC 700F. Weather SD card or autobackup/restore is working? Which Freelance version you are using F2013 or F2013 SP1?
