Issue with communicating Meter on modbus TCP/IP using PLC Connect?
Hi ,
In my project ,i have meters communicating on modbus RTU, and these will be again converted into modbus TCP/IP using converter.
When i am using modscan ,i am getting values from meters..But when i use 800XA PLC connect (modbus serial TCP/Ip driver 5.0.1) its showing "Bad/last known value" in subscribe for live data.
what are the communication paramters which i need to take care other than IP,remote ip address ,port .
What is the poll cycle and telegram max number i need to set ?
Service structure ,PLC group is in service. What else i need to do get the proper value.

Hello,
By default the Modbus ID will be 255. For Modbus devices with TCP/IP gateway you have to give the Slave Node address in the Modbus ID.
For each slave you need to create one controller with same IP (ie. Gateway IP) and Slave address.

Hi we have solved the issue by taking help from support line.
We need to do some settings and modify some settings.
Now we are getting values from EM6400 meters and we displayed the values in 800XA.
kindly contact me if you face any problem related to PLC Connect (for modbus) in future.
