AI815 HART module.
Hi Titus
In AI815 manual its written that the module supports HART - Pass Thru functionality.
Does it means, only 1 paramter can be transferred. means in S800 IO we don't have option for getting more than 1 parameter from smart HART devices.
Can we get these parameter available on OPC for third party OPC compatible front-end(SCADA Vantage).

HART passthru means the AI815 module is able to pass HART data from HART device to DTMs in frame applications such as 800xA.
Within AI815 itself it cannot decode HART data. It reads and understands only 4-20 mA.
This is same for all S800 modules contrary to S900 modules which can decode other HART variables than just 4-20 mA.
Not possible to provide HART data to any third party OPC.
As elemravi said.
On the other hand there are some opc servers, that i've come up to on the internet.

According to their explanations, these are OPC Server for Hart Devices. I've not tried them yet. But maybe they could be useful for you.
Hope it helps.
There is possible to read HART data via OPC server, but via S900 IOs:
OPC - Freelance provides an OPC gateway (server), which allows OPC clients to access data and alarms from the Freelance controllers. The OPC server also allows access to the DPV1 parameters and user parameters of PROFIBUS and HART devices. In the case of HART devices, this is only possible if they are connected to an S900 remote I/O unit.
800xA asset management use HART/Profibus OPC server to read data from field devices. Check document 3BDD011934-510 C - System 800xA Device Management (section 3 - OPC Server PROFIBUS/HART) for more details. I am not sure about Freelance (don' t know it in details), but maybe it can be similar in case of Asset Manager use... Try to check how Freelance Asset Management read data from HART devices. Hope this help.
