AFW Tray Status disabled @ 2 minute interval
When restarting a client computer (win7), the system icon status initally comes up green, then approximately every 2 minutes it changes to disabled for about 10 seconds. This continues for 20-30 minutes. At that point it either stays green or stays red.
Things I have tried
RNRP service is set to automatic startup (delayed) but I have tried just automatic
Disabling windows firewall
Disabling all group policies
Disabling virus protection
The servers all startup fine without issues. Which all have the same group policies, firewall and virus protection.
There is not any indication in the computer logs as to what is happening
There are no scheduled tasks running every 2 minutes
When the icon is red (disabled), if a workplace is open, it continues to work, if not workplace is open, you cannot open one.
Anyone seen anything like this before or have a suggestion?
Thanks in advance for any insight.
Does your system have any 800xA-service that is continuously toggling state (service/standby/synchronizing/etc)?
Eg an Event Collector repeatedly having issues with connecting with its designated OPC AE server?
If the above matches one or more services, get those services straightened out or have them removed off the system. Additionally, you may have to reboot one or more of the involved servers to flush their "bad content" from the system.
