Way to present event collector status in a graphic display
I am looking for a way to present the event collector status in a graphic display. It should work the same as presented in the alarm list. The alarm list has an orange frame if one of the event collector services is not working and has a red frame when none of the event collector services are working.
I tried to use the OPC quality status of one of the alarm list properties like Alarmlist:IsAlarm#DataQuality, but this is not working the way I am looking for. It will only look for the status when I open the Graphic Display, but is not updating when the display is already open. Besides that, this DataQuality turns to bad only when none of the event collector services are working.
Have you had a look at the OPC properties exposed by the Service Provider aspect.
The Service Status Objects below have similar properties plus one more named "DiscardedEvents" which indicates a collection problem (e.g. Lost & Found has been disabled for this event collector and source name lookup has failed to identify an 800xA object to associate the alarm with).
Yes I have, but I am a bit affraid it will not work anymore if someone changes the name of the Service Group. I want to use this for a generic object that will be used for four factories, each with one equipped with a production system, test system and a development system. It is possible that an engineer changes the name of the service group after restoring a backup on the test system for example.
