Not possible to go online with conpact control builder
I have installed the same CCB version used to download program to controller.
Then I restored the program on my PC.
When I try to go online or download the program I get the error message attached.
Tried to restart the controller, but it didnt help..
What can be the reason for this error message?
I unfortunately believe you must remove the application from the controller and perform a cold download (cold retain values may go lost and init values are taken instead).
Clear any running program either by performing a long controller reset or from Control Builder -> Remote System -> Show Downloaded Items -> Remove Selected Applications -> "Really proceed? -> YES"
Going online with an already running application in an AC 800M require access to certain files created during the previous download.
With CBM Professional, the files are saved on C:\ABB Industrial IT Data\Engineer IT Data\Control Builder M Professional\Projects\ProjectName\ApplicationName-x-y-z\CompilerOutput, but they are also uploaded to System 800xA servers for access by other instances of CBM.
For Compact Control Builder the path is probably a bit different.
I believe files are missing following your restore, or that the initial download failed to store all files properly.
In any case, please don't hesitate to ask your regional ABB support center for assistance. I can only be of layman help here on AKS.
Yes as Stefan said, the files needed are missing. Either because last download was performed from another Compact CB or the last download failed so the acknowledge from the controller to the CB didn't come through. The latest "online files" are not available and a warm download is prevented because vital information is missing and
a download could cause a crash or corrupt memory.
Controller reset is needed.
