MODBUS TCP communication between two systems
I´m planning to use two MOXA MGate MB3180 Modbus TCP/Modbus RTU because we would like to isolate the two systems from each other.
Between the MOXA units there will be Modbus RTU. It´s only a few signals that need to be transmitted.
Anybody having experience from this.

I've used the MOXA MGate 3170. Its really easy to set up and works very well.
Note that the Moxa units are quite "dumb" - they simply pass data in whatever format they receive it in so you canot do conversions between data types etc. This really is not a problem unless one of the PLCs supports data types that the other PLC does not. For example passing strings can be a problem if one controller does not support strings on Modbus.
