Can anybody tell me how to configure the profibus line redundancy in AC900F?
Which Freelance version you have ? If it is Freelance 2013 there is minor limitation that incase CI in redundant mode then profibus cable cannot be unplugged from CI terminal, then you may get disruption in communication. So once controller is downloaded never remove profibus cable plug from CI's, plug/unplug cable at slave side is allowed. this limitation is corrected in Freelance 2013 SP1. Incase you are with version Freelance 2013 then check screenshot of connecting/cabling in picture below. But from the screenshot you have attached check termination plus Cabling is done properly i.e in/out connected accordingly for that ensure that only the “incoming” cable entry is used on connectors located at the ends of a PROFIBUS segments and it is terminated. Please go through this link for profibus cabling. @http://www.sci-eng.mmu.ac.uk/ascent/literature/documents/A01_Guideline_Cabling_
One more point why can't you use new CI module with two 9pin subD connector on module, it is released in F2013 SP1.
Hope that helps...
Pls check profibus line and termination. Based on comment in previous answer, can you try this to figure out if there is cabling issue. As you said line A is working fine. try to use same line A cable for line B and check if that works ? if yes, Try using line B cable to line A and check if that works ? it should not work then there may be line B cable issue. Please check attachment i found for profibus possible line redundancy cabling with AC 900F/CI930F.
i have attached controller redundant photo again watch. No problem at line A and line B becaeuse both lines are working fine as redundant in non redundant controller. and i checked slave redundancy too while non redundant controller that was switching smothly without any communication disturb. pls let me know if any other settings.
