ACS880 BRAKING RESISTOR
I recently replaced a 5HP, 460V, ACS800 with an ACS880, however, i did not change the braking resistor (48431-020). When entering the value for parameter 43.10, the drive will not accept anything under 80 ohm's. Is there any way around this without having to order a new braking resistor and without damaging the drive?

Hi
every braking resistor is developed for specific type of drive. In your case, you need to change the resistor and buy one new, with the appropriate value and suitable for your new drive
Hope this help you
For your case the min R=80 ohms for ACS880-01-07A6-5 and your resistor is 44 ohms.
You can add in series another resistor of the same type or order the new resistor.
44 ohms resistor you can use from ACS880-01-014A-5 or bigger - look in the hardware manual for ACS880
