AC800M with BC810 Architecture
A customer posed this series of questions that I am looking for help with:
Have you ever seen an installation which utilized BC810 modules in order to make the Optical Modulebus redundant, therefore allowing a hot swap of a redundant AC800M controller? From what I can tell, this would require you to also install CI840, TB846, and TB842 modules on the CEX bus in order to make this work properly. Is that the case? Is there a cleaner solution?
BC810 is used in case of requests for higher MTBF (additionally it has to be used/is mandatory for configuration with PM891 CPUs - there is not separate base for the controller). There is no impact on modulebus redundancy (I use redundant TB840A cluster modems for S800 I/O segment/cluster).
