Report Scheduling and Excel Installation
I have an 800xA v6.0.3 system, two AS/CS servers and one engineering client. The engineering client has Excel installed; the other two machines do not. When I try to schedule a report, the job fails with an error "Error subscribing to automation object for type EX: ActiveX component can't create object".
I can run the report on the engineering client using the Test Action on the Action Aspect. I'm starting to wonder if the problem is that I need Excel installed on the aspect servers, since the Scheduling service runs there?
Is it possible to run a scheduled report if Excel is only installed on a client?
