Afw Time Sync 6.0.3-1
Hi All,
We have a system setup of 6.0.3-1. 2 Domain Controllers, 3 Aspect Servers, 2 advant Connectivity Servers, 2 800M Connectivity servers and 3 Clients.
As of now we dint Connect any controllers to connectivity servers.
For Time sync, I have made 2 advant Connectivity servers as Time masters. One is in service and other is in Standby.
Domain controllers using NTP.
Windows time is disabled in all the 800xA Servers & Clients.
But time sync is not happening as expected. There is Time difference of 1 or 2 mins in all the servers and Clients.
Please find the attachments attached for the screenshots of the service for connectivity servers.
Is there any command or tool to force the time for all servers and Clients to sync with the Connectivity server??
I have tried enabling/disabling the service, I tried to change the service to Aspect servers as well but no luck.
I want to make time sync in all the servers and Clients using AFWTIME.
Could anyone help me in troubleshooting/resolving the probem.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Sri

Hi,
have you done the server side configuration and Client configuration? Make sure that client allowed to set time is disabled.
Check the afwapplog for server (Afwtime server) and client (Afw time handler) with log level3 to check the status of the broad cast of new time. Loglevel shall be changed to 1 after checking the logs.

I have had a similar issue in older version of 800xA. In my case, it was a wrong configuration of Service account on the clients. The service account should be with the same name on all the nodes in the system and active. Try to logon with the service account on your nodes. Look with Configuration Wizzard for the name of Service account on all the nodes.
Also look in Node administration structure - for the clients (see below) - the manual is Automation System Network. Only the connect servers should have selected "Allowed to set time", but all the nodes should have "Time Sync Running" selected
Another remark - if the time difference on different nodes is too big, the time synchronization is disabled for that nodes
