Communication problem between AC500 PM592 and CP651 after network failure
Hello,
we are working on a system with 7 AC500 PM592 PLC´s and two CP651 panels. The panels and the PLC´s are communicating with the ABB CodeSys ETH protocol. We are having some issues with this solution. After a network problem some of the screens are unable to restore the communication with the PLC. In the CP600 logger we see this error for some tags:
read datagram failed - Error tag .xxxxxx not present in symbol file.
But the variables are present in the symbol file. After a restart of the panel everything is working fine again.
We configured the ABB CodeSys ETH protocol in the panel as 1 protocol with 7 slaves. This is because there are only 4 protocols available, so we are unable to give each PLC it's own protocol.

Both panels are connected to the 7 PLC's. Both panels run the same application, only the ip-adress of the panels is different.
There is no master-slave configuration, because this is not modbus.

Hi,
I don't understand your configuration - which panel is connected to which PLC? Who is the master and who is the slave - client / server in that case?
