Process Alarm are not coming in 800XA System
I am engaged in commissioning of ABB DCS system 800XA. redundant system with PM861 Controller.
we have three work stations Primary Engineering,Secondary Engineering and Client.
We are facing problem that Process alarms are not coming while system alarms are coming.
We have checked the configuration of Alarm and Events and nothing found wrong,OPC server connectivity is also OK.
We have checked the control Blocks by changing the set point from face plate it is generating the alarm.
One thing we found that all face plates have a question mark on their headers As per explanation in Manual it is due to illegal configuration of Alarm..
I need guidance to resolve this issue.

How do you know it is generating the Alarm Message if the message does not appear on the 800xA operator work places ?

This implies that something is wrong in your controller settings and the Alarms are not being generated. But you say the alarms are being generated correctly ?
On the OPC Server control Panel check the OPC-AE server ( not just the OPC-DA ) connection status.
Check you have allocated enough free event space in the controller settings tab in control builder.
Check that the Alarms are actually being generated by the controller AND sent to the OPC AE server in your connectivity server. Connect an OPC-AE Test client like this one -> http://integrationobjects.com/products/opc-free-tools/opc-ae-test-client/
If the Alarm and Event Messages are being correctly received by the Test Client, check the service configuration for the AC800M Event Collector.
Then use the Default Alarm and Event List configurations to create an Alarm List in the root of the control structure, which should display ALL alarms.
Once these are all working you can create Alarm and Event List configurations to filter alarms by class, priotrity etc.
