Cannot Start Application - SmartClient
Hello
I start to get erros messages when connection to smart client. It started when I copied an old shotrcut from one PC to another and tryed to open SC with that shortcut.
I have tried to delete all history-files and temp files, but still not success.
Is there any solution to this?
Is there possible to remove all SC-data from a computer and start over?
Attached files show the messages.

The error information points to problems with .NET v4.
I'm not sure, but I suspect you have a problem with .NET - and I also believe Smart Client was built for .NET 3.5 but I can not be 100% sure about that (at least I know .NET 3.5 is sufficient to run SC in my lab).
If possible; perform a .NET cleanup (Microsoft has a tool that can erase all .NET versions from a computer) and install .NET 3.5 SP1 and try again.

as Stefan wrote it's probably a .NET Framework problem. You need 3.5 SP1 version, as stated in manuals:
If reinstallation of .NET Framework dosen't help try reinstalling VC++ Runtime.

Please try after deleting the cache of Smart Client. If the operating system where you are launching SC is Win 7 or Win 2008, please delete the following folders and try again.
c:\users\<logged in user>\Local\ABB Smart Client
and
c:\users\<logged in user\Apps\2.0
Delete both the folders.
Please make sure that system is having .NET 3.5 SP1 installed.
