IEC61850 alarms from OPC Server retriggered when redundant server is restarted/shutted down
Hi all
I'm working on a project where we have IEC61850 communication from some Siemens and Schneider relays to our two IEC61850 OPC Server (CET600), and from there to 800xA. The communication itself works fine.
The problem arrives, when one of our redundant servers are restarted or shutted down. When we do this, the active alarms are retriggered, hence needs to be acknowledged again. Furthermore some old alarms with old timestamps shows up in the alarm list (in 800xA) in the RTN state. The case is the same for both the values comming from Siemens and Schneider relays.
Have some of you experienced this before, or know how to solve this problem?
Thanks for the answers in advance.
Best Regards
Matthias

I have observed this issue.
There are few settings need to be done and I have observed in many projects we miss these post installation configurations to do.
In library structure ->Alarm & Event-> Alarm Collection Defination -> IEC 61850 Alarm collection definition for all the instances need to check the check box for support refresh and require dual Acknowledge on alarm collection definition aspect config view.

Hi,
For your query:
"some old alarms with old timestamps shows up in the alarm list (in 800xA) in the RTN state"
For the time being you can delete those old alarms.
To solve this issue permanently you should stop soft alarm service in all aspect servers.
delete the files under C:\Operate IT data\Soft alarms\
then start your soft alarm service again in all aspect servers.
Still If old alarms shows up continuously and the numbers are just adding up even if you delete old alarms, you should restart your Event collectors simultaneously.
