Planning to upgrade MP200 to AC415 what will be effected on 800xA HMI and IM?
we are planning to upgrade MP200 to AC415 only hardware no changes in software.
We are wondering what are the consequences on 800xA and IM.
It will be great help if any one can explain.

you do an upload in Control Structure, for your new controller, and delete your old.
As your object names are equal, you just have to resolve your objects in the graphics displays.
Regarding Log Configurations, are you prepared to loose current log data ? If so you just have to configure Log Configurations again for the AC400 controller.
The IM itself doesn't bother regarding it's a MP or AC, as it's working on OPC level...
I assume you mean AC450 ( there is no such thing as AC415. Anyway it doesnt matter AC410 is the same)
Warning.... I have not tested this but it should work OK. Backup your system before you start and plan in detail exactly what you need to do.
As Ronny says this should be fairly easy to do. The most important thing is your old and new databases must be IDENTICAL. Ie exactly the same tag names. I assume you will use the same node number for the MP200 and AC450 But really it doesnt matter. DO NOT DELETE ANYTHING.
When you change from the old MP200 to the new AC450, just disconnect the MP200 and connect the new controller to the Masterbus.
Add a new AC450 node to the network in the Control Structure of the AC450. Set the network and node numbers for the controller. Check that the controller is online And the system status displays are working. DO NOT UPLOAD FROM THE CONTROLLER
Now Drag and Drop the database from the old MP200 node to the new AC450 node. Make sure you drag only things that are identical Between the old and new controllers. If you changed bus types for example, do not drag the S400 bus - only the database objects Like DI, DO, DATS, MMCX etc. Once you have done this the connections should should start working immediately. You should not need to upload from the controller.
Doing this will preserve all your existing history and there should be no need to resolve graphic connections again. Also, the IM should be unaffected.
Once everything is working, then you can upload from the controller To ensure everything is synchronised properly.
