ACS800 drive for long conveyor synchronise
Total 5 nos 900 Kw motor on 3 head side, 1 booster and tail. As suggested by ABB, three motor master followers(direc fibre link) and two standby (though profibus and PLC ) and conveyor lengh 7 km
Q1 :- All motor not start / stop at time. Which parameters to be changed?
Q2: If we one master and other works as standby through profibus is ok?
Answers
your question is not so clear... to better understand could you describe the configuration of your system?
Type of plc? Total number and size of drives?
Anyway, the control of the system depend on program of PLC.
Any delays or start-up sequences therefore depend on how the program was made
Q1: Are you sure that the delay time between the different starting of the motors it was not desired, perhaps to limit the outgoing currents or for other reasons related to the process or configuration of your plant ?
Q2: Profibus is OK if you not have error in diagnostics, for this question is needed that you explain what you mean
If I understand correctly there is fibre optic Master-Follower connection between drives.
Maybe this solution is not suitable for long conveyor due to possibly different friction and material load at each drive.
It would be better to cancel FO Master-Follower and to prepare Master-Slave control in PLC. One drive shall be Master and other slave drives shall control own speed with mild load balancing with respect to other drives load.
