CCB Profinet GSD file import fails (Siemens ET200SP)
We're trying to connect Siemens ET200SP I/O modules to AC800M via CI871 Profinet board. For some reason importing of the related GSDML (GSDML-V2.33-Siemens-ET200SP-20171008) fails, see message window below.
Has anyone managed to import this file?
The obvious problem is that we don't know if the problem is in the file configuration or if the ABB's wizard is not working correctly.
All the other GSDML files (motor starters, frequency converters, motor valves) we need can be imported, it's just the Siemens I/O that fails.

Hello,
which CCB version are you using ?
From which year is the controller PM and CI871 ?

We've tried this with CCB 5.1 and 6.0, both fail.
PM is old, CI871 was purchased 2017.
Yes, we've sucessfully imported the ET2000 GSDML file for profinet into 800xA Version 5.1 RevE with FP4 - Sorry, I dont have the exect GSDML for control builder versions that we used. I can check tommorow.
The version of PM8xx or CI871 hardware is not relevant. These are not used during the import. It is your Control Builder that is crashing. Suggest you start by re-downloading the GSDML File and repairing the CCB installations if you have not already done this.
Tried translation for ET200S and that works (as Rob had already noticed).
But now we're having ET200SP which is newer I/O system from Siemens.
I don't think re-installation of CCB would work; we've already tried this with several laptops and also with CCB v6.0.
Can anyone interpret the error messages?
Did you get any progress on this from ABB Supportline ?
Looks like we are getting the same problem trying to import the GSDML for a Siemens PN/PN coupler. Unfortunately theres no earlier version of the GSDML file to try.
It looks like the import wizard cannot correctly parse the Submodules and crashes rather than exiting gracefully with a usable error message.
