Time Synchronization of Connectivity Server through GPS
As per Architecture we need to sync Controllers and Connectivity Servers through GPS. I checked and found that Controller Getting Sync with GPS but Connectivity Server not getting Sync with GPS. I checked Ping from CS to GPS but it was fine and also checked in Service Structure for External Clock IP Address and It was Correct. As a result Controller Time Synchronized and Connectivity Server Time not Synchronized with GPS when alarm getting generated we found mismatch between Timestamp of Alarm and Connectivity Server and Operating Station Time.
Thanks in Advance..
I suppose that you have a configuration similar to attached screen dump from manual 3BSE034463-510 System 800xA, Network, Configuration page 151.
A GPS module is (S)NTP server for (preferable) two AC800M controllers for redundancy.
The AC800M controller(s) act as CNCP servers for the AC800 Connectivity Server(s).
The AC800M Connectivity Server(s) act as afwTime Servers for all the other 800xA nodes.
I hope this will help you.
Please go through this manual
Section 6 will guide you registry settings and also ntp server settings.
A lot of threads are available in AKS regarding time sync.
