AdvHtadvhthistorysrv.exe high CPU/disk utilization every 35 minutes
We are currently experiencing a problem with trends associated with one of the connectivity servers in a redundant pair. Visually the problem manifests itself in delays when trend displays retrieve data on clients configured to this server.
Server diagnostics shows high CPU/disk load every 35 minutes (see the attached screen shots).
Please advise.

I guess you got the PI link working then :)
- Is there anything happening avery 35 minutes that could cause this ? Eg, Data collection from the servers.
- Are the Basic History Services 100% synchornised ? Service Structure -> Basic History Service -> Service Group -> Service Provider -> Service Status Object -> Subscribe for Live Data on each server and check ""PercentSyncronised" is 100% ( no - 99.9999% is NOT syncronized)
- I assume you have Raid controllers and Write Caching enabled. Are there any errors on the disk controller hardware ?
- Check the Server's disk Controller performance with Permon.

Rob,
Thank you for the prompt response.
Yes, we configured PI link in July 2017 via OPC DA Surrogate, no problems so far.
We considered OPC HDA interface as you recommended, but havent't tested it yet.
The history services synchronization status is 25.55% on the connectivity server A and 99.98% on B (the problem one).
We will check the disk controller status/errors.
