800xA 5.1 how to delete old 'ghost' alarms permanently?
Hi we have a configuration where we originally configured both controllers and client/ servers to be on same network area 1 (172.16.4.0).
Here we had active alarms e.g.: CMN1 Network connection error, Area 1, Network connection to CMN1 Lost
Then we decided to move all Controllers to network area 20 - but we forgot to clear these events before (or maybe they were just deleted form the alarmlist)
Now after a restart of the system these old 'ghost' alarms reapear as active alarms with timestamps from before the reconfiguration of networks. all we can do is delete them, but they just reappear with a reboot of the system.
Any tips how to permanently delete these old alarm as they clearley now dont exists?

Deleting will not permanently remove these alarms, these alarms will reappear when you restart servers, you need to clean the local cache files as following prcedure:
1.Stop soft alarm service providers of all aspect servers
2.Clean the files in c:\operate it data\soft alarms\*.dat on all aspect servers
3.Start soft alarm service providers of all aspect servers

If it is not possible to delete alarm, it should allow to configuring that ghost alarm as hidden alarm.
