Adding a baseplate to the CEX Bus
Is it possible to add a new baseplate and CI8XX module to a system that is online?
I have a customer which would like to add an additional communication card to the CEX bus on the Secondary Processor Rack in the system (see attached image).
Is it possible to add a module without taking the system offline?
I have found in the system doucmentation that "It is not allowed to manipulate CEX bus baseplates in a powered and running system."
Does this apply to adding new baseplates/modules as well if they are simply to be added onto the edd of the existing CEX bus? I realize the terminating resistor must be removed to do so. Can this cause a fault at the processor?
