DI524 module problem
Plant was commissioned & running fine. it was shut down day before yesterday like a normal routine everydaY. We started plc again today morning. 2 columns of DI524 2.0 to 2.7 & 3.0 to 3.7 show problem, while there is no error at IO module. Some IOs have become constantly high & some are constantly low. Field signals high & low doesnt matter to that two columns now. I re-started the plc still samr problem. In software also the particular bits are continously staying high or low respectively. What could have went wrong? Is there any solution?

The foto shows partial sparking at connection. This mean that the insulation or dieletric betwen the contacts has been damaged or compromised. Why this happens depends on altered conditions of your electrical panel. For example you can have an extra voltage in input wire, or conductive dust, or excess of moisture....or insulation defect at I/O base.
To prevent new failures, check daily and take the correct action: conditioning and cleaning the cabinet and so on. Good luck!
do you have another DI524 in your configuraton? Try to change the two input module among them, then restart. Check the power supply of the module, then remove all the connections of the inputs and control the state on the program....then, connect one at time the inputs.....lets us know the results!
