Connecting to secondary network on PM866 with Control Builder
I have a small compact system with 2 PM866 redundant controller kits and some I/O. The engineering station also has redundant networks. My question is the following:
If the primary network is down, I should still be able to reach the controllers using Control Builder, right? I know that I am able to reach the controllers secondary network interface, as I am able to ping their IPs. But Control Builder can't detect them when I open the Show Remote Systems dialog.
Primary network IPs are in the range 172.16.x.x, secondary are in 172.17.x.x.
I'm on a corporate PC, so firewall might be blocking stuff. I know for sure that it is blocking the RNRP service. Have asked for an exception, but they're slow and I'm getting impatient.
RNRP settings in the controllers are correct as far as I can see. No errors on controllers' network interfaces either.
Looking forward to your replies.

Yes you should still be able to connect to the controller. RNRP solves that for you, but if a firewall block rnrp then it won't work. The network configuration manual 3BSE034463-510 shows all the ports and setting needed.
For correct continuos operation RNRP requires the following settings:
• Multicasting must be enabled.
• Multicast filtering must be disabled.
• Intelligent Multicast must be disabled.
• IGMP Snooping must be disabled.
