Performance Monitor Windows 2003 Server / SV5.0 Sp2 Ru2e
Hi Stephan , could you support in the following issue ?
we are in the plant doing some activities related to preventive maintanance visit , because this task should be done at least two time every year , we need to have a baseline which it allowes to us to compare with future visit to the plant . Between them we think , it is very useful to measure some parameters related for example to Processor Bottleneck , which they could be useful to compare in the next visit , they are : % Processor Time, Processor Queue Length , % Total Processor Time .
For Paging Information for example , % Disk Read Time , Avg Disk Queue Length , Disk Reads/sec _Total , Avg Disk Bytes/Read _Total . and for Memory Leak Process Private Bytes , Working set , Handle Count , these concepts were learned by me from ABB Maintanance Course , and because it could be good idea has them like a baseline to be compared in future vist to the customer and it allows to us to analyze better te system.
But the server Windows 2003 server does not allow to do that , we can not add any counter and the counter which they are showed , are not Processor , Process , Disk . please see the attachment . It seems that the system does not allow to do that because the service which it is disabled , it can not be started , please see the pictures
how could do that because it could be very useful for the future of the customer and maintanance plan
Thanks for your support
Regards

I've encountered this myself several times in the past; Windows 2003 Server seem to have a problem with its performance counters, from time to time.
Sometimes a rebuild has helped. I suggest checking if this article have something that can solve your problem:
