800xA Block machine control
I have a situation where two operations machines control the same object ( a motor for example ). One machine is near the process ( we name it local machine ) and the other machine is located into another place ( we name it remote machine ).
How do I do a local/remote strategy in a way that when in remote control, the local operator panel can not control the object trough faceplate.
Alternatively object locking may help?... You may find information about the service and capabilities in 3BSE030335Rxxxx. I do not know about the availability in 4.1.
This function allows a user to lock an object manually or automatically to prevent anyone else from controlling it.
If discussing on simple terms,as far I have understood this . You can try this:
In your Code, use a OR gate(2-input,1 out) for your main variable of START/STOP command.
And Two AND gates on two inputs of it.
Now, Local will work only when (NOT of REMOTE ) is there.
and vise versa for Remote.
(ATTACHED ARE IMAGES FOR EXAMPLE)
Other way using Faceplate, draw a Toggle button, which will enable/disable One mode acc to requirement. Like, Your remote start/Stop will not get enabled on Faceplate to select till you have not made that Button true.
PS for Second case: in logic take a variable on one AND gate's input: SELECT LOCAL MODE, that button will make it true.
