No OPC connection from a third party server (2016) to ABB connectivity server (2008)
I tried to make an opc connection from a thirdparty opc-client which runs on windows 2016 server to a 800xA connectivity server which runs on windows 2008 server.
I setup the right DCom settings, with a dedicated user for the AfwDSOpcSurrogate.
I got an error on the 2016 server that the RuntimeBroker doesnot have the right permissions, but windows does not allow to change this?
When the thirdpart opc-client is running on a windows 2008 server the opc connection is running good.

No, you probably didnt. DCOM settings are a PITA to get right. Use this to verify ....

The DCom settings where right.
The only thing is that OPC Core Components Redistributable version 3.0 had to be installed on the third party 2016 server, and not version 2.0
