Event storage path
I have question, so i need your support. In my system, event storage stored in $server data2\ Event storage$. When 2 aspect computers(AS-A and AS-B) work normally, i see Event were stored in D hard disk of AS computers ( D\operateITdata1\EventStorage). Problem occurred when D hard disk of AS computers broken. When D hard disk of AS-A broken, event still ran, updated on AS-B. We replaced new D hard disk for AS-A. But it was not updated Event storage from AS-B. Next time, when D hard disk of AS-B broken, Event still ran and updated in somewhere on AS-A, not D hard disk whit path upper.
So my question is:
1/ How to check path of $ Serverdata2\ Event storgae$, i tried to find in enviroment and Console 1, but nothing to show path of $ Serverdata2\ Event storgae$, which relate to path of D hard disk.
2/ How to automatically synchronize event storage between 2 AS, I tried to restart and unable and disable event storage service in service struture, but nothing synchornize.
$serverdata2$ is an environment variable. It is unique to the server - so potentially it can be different on different servers.
Log on to th machine using the service account login, open a CMD window and type "set" to see a list of all the environment variables used by the service account.
Note that the Event Loggers do not "backfill" - so if your server was down then the data will not be updated when it comes back up. So what you are seeing is expected behaviour. The same effect occurs with history data. ABB's recommended solution is to use a historian for extended data storage
Event Storage does not cold start as other services do when you remove their data folder below OperateITData.
To force Event Storage to synchronize, delete the service provider you want cold started from the Service Structure, delete the data folder and then create a new service provider.
