800xA 3.Party OPC issue
I am having some problems with opc AE from a third party opc server to 800xA, DA is working fine, with AE i am unable to get alarm&events in 800xA, but upload is working fine and i have mapped my alarm collection definition, but no matter how i map it, process alarms etc. when i try to create a new alarm list configuration, all my categories show up as events. I have used the AfwAppLogViewer to see if there is any messages and it shows some messages:

Do you have any knowledge about these messages or the problem i am having? Best regards Vegard

My colleague who took the case is working on an answer to you or some colleague that have initiated a support case.
Contrary to OPC DA Connector, the Event Collector service can not use "opcenum.exe" to enumerate remote OPC AE servers.
You must register the remote OPC AE server locally (this can be done with a simple registry key export/import) to allow you to select it from the service group's special configuration aspect.
After selection of OPC AE server name, insert its IP address or computer name on the service provider level to force the event collector to perform a remote DCOM based connect instead of a local COM based.
DCOM permissions need to be added; in both directions,
- outgoing to allow event collector to connect to the OPC AE server
- homecoming to allow the OPC AE server to post event callbacks to the event collector

DOCM is very important to get AE properly. it plays major role. hence please double check the DCOM settings and Registry entry for AE Component.
Hope this will help you to resolve your issues..
Hello, I think I had a similar problem some time ago (but not investigating in messages of the AfwAppLogViewer). For each AE Alarm Signal, 800xA (or Compact HMI) needs to have an object defined with the same name. You can create the Alarm Objects in any suitable structure (like Functional Structure)
I hope this helps to solve your problem
