Graphic Display PG2 Timing on a client
Hello,
I am investigating the timing of our Graphic Displays in 800xA, because it can take a long time for some of the displays to start up. Can anyone explain me in detail how a graphic display is building up? For example, in the Diagnostics tool I can see that the subscription time is very long.
I have attached some screenshots of the diagnostics tool to show you guys some things like number of items, timing details etc.
Another question is about the cache of a client. I know, on a client, there is a difference between opening a graphic display for the first time and opening it for the second time. I thought this was because the client stores the graphic displays in its FSD cache, but I saw in another question that the FSD cache is used only for the old Visual Basic Graphics. So is there another cache on a client for PG2 displays or is there maybe a cache for the subscriptions?
Answers
No we are not using Late Binding, but yes we are using three small Aspect View Wrappers to show the Alarm Band button for example.
But my question is not about this specific Graphic Display, but more about the timing of Graphic PG2 Displays in general.
Hello,
Like VB graphics , PG2 also takes time in FSD cache. Only this each graphic elemet update rate can vary depends upon the subscription timings. Subscription timings can be changed in the Property of that element.
Thanks and Regards
Tamizh
