AC700F Time Server
For my future project ı am trying to choose a platform which correspond my customer needs.
-> It has to support Modbus TCP
-> It has to synchronize its time from a remote time server(like NTP)
Freelance 2013 with AC700f has built-in Modbus TCP
Does AC700F has capability of synchronizing with remote time server from network other than my control network?

CPU time synchronizing is not important for you at all, because your customer wants to see alarms and event on exact time, and alarms/events are triggered on SCADA not CPU.So at this situation your OS or Gateway Server has to sync time via external time server. And Freelance 9.2, Freelance 2013 support it.
For this purpose, the “Ext. Timer Server” function must be activated in the resource configuration (select > Operator station or Gateway in Project tree > Project > Header). By specifying the IP address, up to three stations can be time-synchronized by a resource.See attach picture for details:
Just enable the Ext. Time Server, and specify the IP address. If your OS sync it's time, so you can sync your CPU Time via system commands. Also communication ports (Modus TCP, Profibus etc.) is not enough, pay attention to IO capabilities. AC700F CPUs can hanle 300 I/O signals per CPU. If your total IO number increase, it will cause problems for your load memory. By the way, if your customer wants to see the IO value changes on Digital/Analog Cards, that means your have to Sequence of Event (SoE) supported IO cards. Hope these helps you.
