Connect remote node
Hi
I am facing a problem in XA 5.1 .I have two redundent aspect and connectivity servers and 6 clients connectedin Domain . when I am going to secondary server and from there to the plant explorer workplace then to NODE ADMIN STRUCTURE .selecting ASCS1(Aspect server connectivity server-1) and the Node Definition Aspect of ASCS1 and trying to CONNECT REMOTE NODE , after 1 minute a pop up comes with meaaage as "FAILED TO UPDATE REMOTE NODE DUE TO FOLLOWING ERROR "ACCESS DENIED"".as a result i am not able to connect the primary server.
What might be the reason . and the solution to it.

Access Denied, means the server you are trying to access is responding, which usually means the Firewall is not blocking the request. However your Security setup between the two machines seems to have some issue. Check your security setup between the machines and ensure there are no Domain Active Directory issue. This type of check might be only for your Service or Installer accounts and not others, so also check the access required and/or allowed for the user you have been mentioning.
Also (this may be a wording issue), you mentioned you have 2 redundant AS. This means there are 4? Normally only 2 or 3 allowed.

Check the domain server by running the command dcdiag and see if there are any errors.
Make suretim syncronization among all nodes including domain is done.
Check for the windows event and see if you get any errors related security is being poped up or not.
Disable the unused network port and make sure th binding order has been se coorect for all nodes.
I also have the same problem with me. I had previously tried reinstalling the view agent on the template twice. After digging through the logs the tech finally suggested we completely uninstall the view agent and tools together and reboot. From there we installed it again, rebooted, and installed the view agent again and rebooted. With this new snapshot the desktop connection is stable and the view client is no longer crashing.
