MODBUS TCP, ReConnection
Hi,
We have 800xA 5.0 Sp1a System with one redundant AC800M controllers with 2 nos CI867 Modules to communicate with slaves.
In this case ABB is Master and Third party system is slave.
Presently we are facing a issue in modbus tcp for reconnection.
"When the MODBUS TCP Connection is established with slave. Then if we remove the cable (Or Slave station is restarted) and reconnected the cable back after 2mins approx then it is taking around 10 mins to reconnect to slave."
Even this case is similar in case if we use a simulator MDBUS.
When we do the power reset on ABB Controller it is connecting back immediatly.
Please anyboody can help on this issue to resolve.
Answers
Hello,
Try the following:
1.Check the error code and diagnise the same.
2.ensure you are able to ping the slave after reconnecting?
3.if you are using a redundant ci867 then ensure only ch1 supports redundancy?
4.Do some hardware & POU change then download to the controller after reconnecting/restarting your slave.
5.ensure cable between swich & slave should be straight through.
