800XA system getting hang frequently

800XA HMI station in control room system getting hang frequently.
We have ASCS server station placed in local module in CRC panel.
error message getting in License status viewer is
System failure NO active SFA The system is running without an active SFA.
how can i rectify this>??

I believe you should contact your regional ABB support team.
"No active SFA" is triggered if Central Licensing Server (CLS) is unable to delegate the SFA duty for more than one hour (or perhaps two).
The SFA duty is among some other things to count tags and is constantly delegated to one random server in the system. Previously (still?) SFA warnings could emerge if all aspect servers are brought down, eg during a production shut and server maintenance.

A failed software license should not normally cause the client workplaces to hang ( but some engineering tools may not work) so it sounds like you may have 2 separate problems....

- Is this a new problem ?
- When did it start ?
- What software version ?
- How many clients do you have ?
- How many servers do you have ?
- Is only one client affected or multiple clients ?
- When does it hang ? eg opening one particular graphic, when changing screens etc
- What system extensions are installed ?
- Are you using VB or PG2 graphics
- Do you get any error messages ?
Licensing Problems ...
- Do you own a valid license ?
- Is the security dongle inserted into the primary AS/CS ?
- Is this a new problem ? When did it start ?
You should be able to get the system to run with temporary emergency licenses by rebooting the license server ( which is probably your AS/CS ). If your license has failed you need to contact your local ABB office urgently.
Hello, please check the following
1.ensure valid SFA is available in the license file(.sla)
you can check this by open the .SLA file in notepad & search for the "SFA" then it returns with %SFA_ID=800xA% if this exists means its a valid file.
Else you have loaded the extension license file.
2.Ensure you are using MAC ID or dongle to generate the license & check always primary network MAC ID should be used if you are using MAC ID & if you are using dongle ensure dongle should be connected to PriAS(server should be healthy) & download the licese file for this dongle MAC ID.
always ensure with SFA is acting as a default license file for system work.
Please mention the system version running? & system config(number of servers,OS)
