CI840 4.2.2 Version DO Flickering Issue( redundant slave does not exist)
Hi,
We are using xa 5.0 sp2 RevD Software version.
In one of the CI840 Cluster we observed message " redundant slave does not exist"
Changed CI840 modules- Problem persists.
So, again changed baseplate also of CI840 cluster - still problem persists.
This is last cluster of 800M node.
Checked Profibus connectors healthiness. (terminations and wiring).
Profibus connectors used are of Phoenix make.
Now random Digital Output channel of that particular CI840 cluster are flickering.
DO Flickering is not frequent.
Ci840 version - 4.2.2.
Anybody have faced issues with 4.2.2 ?
Is this an issue of firmware or BUS ?
Thanks

I dont think so this relate with firmware because similar hardware used in complete network.
Suggestion:
2 possibilities
1) Profibus malfunction.
Checking way: Use profibus diagnostic software, were u can check signal strength and noise effects. Eg: procentec profibus analyzer
Another way: use diagnostic LED profibus connectors, check LED flickering status for TX/RX and termination.
2) Base plate/Physical connections
Grounding may chance as u have already changed base plate. SO please check for grounding for outputs. Because when opertaing particular output and it was grounded, chances of flickering at that particular time (if voltage is 24V DC).
