Hi,
the Tags are included in the 800xA license. You should have only one license with all needed 800xA features.
If you have to order additional/new Tags to an existing 800xA System, you need a software expansion to the SID of your system.
If you order licenses without the expansion, the system will create a new SID only with the Tags. In this case you have to combine both licenses into one SID.

The subject of Licensing is fully explained in the manual, "2PAA111691-600_C_en_System_800xA_6.0_Licensing_Information.pdf", which is available either in your runtime system or it is available on the MCS, (MyControlSystem), web site via a valid Sentinel ID entry. Should you have issues with either of these methods, you can open a Support Case with your local RAC, (Regional Action Center), and they will assist in obtaining this information.
The typical location where documentation is installed on your runtime system is in the Aspect Server in the following directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\ABB Industrial IT\800xA\System\Documentation\User Instructions\System\Reference

I did not see anyone else mentioning what a ”Tag” is...
A tag, or more correct TAGS or TAGS_RED is licensed items necessary to have for each object with a faceplate aspect in the system.
If you configure the system to act as HMI for a PLC configuration consisting of 500 objects each equipped with a faceplate you must order 500 TAGS to embed in your core license .SLA file.
If your system runs redundant servers you must order TAGS_RED instead of TAGS.
The afwsysinfo.exe command will output the current need for TAGS. When using 800xA for Advant Master the licensing model is a bit different (some few object types are exempted from the counting), here the afwsysinfo count report a too high value (but License Usage aspect, etc is still correct).
A manual count with the Find Tool should return similar numbers after subtracting faceplates located in the Object Type Structure and duplicates (if VB6 and PG2 is present simultaneously).
Your ABB sales representative should be able to supply you with an appropriate licence.
