Could not disconnect the secondary aspect server from Configuration wizard.
I restored the system backup in new Aspect server. Then i want to disconnect all servers and clients connected in the system. However, I could not disconnect the secondary aspect server from configuration wizard. It says, Not allowed -Would remove mandory service!. I use 1oo2 Aspect Server & system is SV800xA 5.0 SP2
Anyone have solution for this problem
Before removing any server ensure that PPA is not running for that server for one you want to remove if running please do the maintanance stop for that server & then remove the perticuler server from the PriAS configuration wizard where as for removing clients you can directly remove from the PriAS configuration wizard not required to stop the PPA for that mchine.
Ensure that servers are connected else
If you have restored system backup in fresh node & you want delete the servers & cleints which are not connected to the system then you have to uncheck the "update remote node" check box for each node while deleting else if all nodes are connected again in the fresh system & you are trying to delete the servers then you have do the maintanance stop for each server(node you want to delete) & then delete the server from the configuration wizard of the PriAS(confif wizard-system administration-nodes)
"Not allowed -Would remove mandory service"
To solve this, go to the Service Structure and check, if there is any Service which has the secondary Aspect Server as Service Provider defined. If you find such Service(s), you can change the ServiceProvider for those Services to Primary Aspect Server.
In case the Servers and Clients doe not exist then don't forget to uncheck "Update Remote Node" in the Configuration Wizard, when removing those PCs
it's a long time since I did this, so I'm not sure:
In Service Structure, the service provider you want to keep in Aspect Directory, select "New Session" and Run.
Probably it's possible to delete the other servers afterwards as explained in the other answers.
If not, I would suggest to enter Software Developer mode, if you are familiar with it, and delete the unwanted server(s).
