Can any one explain difference between 800xA Ver 5.1 FP4 Rev E Histroy and IM products and also please explain the advantages ( Example like Redundancy , smart client support etc).

Basic History is included with 800xA Base. 10.000 logs per redundant pair of services. Storage capacity is suitable for operator needs, up to maybe a couple of years. Redundancy is possible. No license is required.
The base system has built-in capacity for storing up to 50.000 events, per event category. No license is required.
IM History is a secondary logging engine with additional storage capacity (10 years). An IM may also store up to 12 million events. No redundancy, but you may have Dual IM logs; one configuarion covering two independent IMs performing the same log duty. Client need to ask secondary server if primary does not have data. IM require a separate license.
Smart Client is a platform for displaying data on external computers, the client is web based and light weight. Smart Client can do displays and trends out of the box. For alarm and event presentation, an IM is required (Smart Client A&E storage and filtering is based on Oracle in IM). Smart Client require a separate license.
