PID-Faceplate: Gain Kp normalized and restricted within measuring range? (Melody Composer / 800xA)

Using Melody Comopser 6.1.0.79 with visualisation in 800xA 5.1 we face the following problem. Values for proportional gain Kp which are entered in the controller faceplates are normalized and restricted to the measuring range of the controller, which doesn't make sense. The question is how to uncouple control parameters from normalisation/restriction.
Example:
Measuring range of the controller (process point) is 0..100 l/h. When entering Kp=50 in the faceplate, the value changes to 0.5. Furthermore it is not possible to enter values bigger than 100 or lower than 0, respectively an effective gain above 1.0 or below 0.0
Type of logical control function is APIDM-01. We already tried to edit the Signal KPY (Proportional Gain), but cannot do any changes. The signal definitions instantly read back the measuring range and unit of the process point.
