Port blocking appearing in the controller log
Hi,
We are facing one problem in control network after upgrading 800xA version from Rev A to Rev D.
Log file shows that controller port is blocked and after some time it unblocks automatically.
Log files and rnrp events are attached.
Please help.
Thank you

It is blocked because the port is detecting too much activity on the network - a network storm.
You should start by trying to identify just how much activity there is on the controller network. The only trafic that should be on your comtroller network is the controllers themselves, the OPC server(s) and perhaps your engineering station - though normally this is routed through RNRP on your OPC server/connectivity server Machine.
Problems can also occur if a station or controller has mis configured RNRP causing trafic to be routed incorrectly.
Hello,
Please check the possible causes which may cause network storm.
1.Check for the RNRP fault tracer to find the suspected network loops for each node & accorndingly you check the cable loops between the switches.
2.Please refer the attached manual & ensure these settings has been perfomed in your switches(managed only)
3.Ensure cross & straight cables are shouldn't be mixed in the same switch.
4.Please check the physical network loop between the switches.
5.Ensure RSS(recieve side scalling) for each network adaptors is disabled in all machines (which are part of RNRP)
