Upgrading SV4.1 to SV5.1revC. How do I get AC800 SV5.0SP2 Coexistencesystem extension with BasicHWLib 5.0-2?
I am upgrading an 800xA SV4.1 System to SV5.1 RevC which contains CI852 modules.
(Reference 800xA 4.1 to 800xA 5.1 CBM Compatibility Issues in 3BSE036342-511 F)
I was able to locate the AC800M Classic system extension by modifying the AC800M Connect installation within the Add/Remove Programs. I cannot however find how to make available for installation the AC800 SV5.0 SP2 Coexistencesystem extension (contains BasicHWLib 5.0-2) which I think is required for a successful Project Upgrade. I did attempt the upgrade to a Project without this extension and received the attached error messages when downloading. I firmly believe this extension might provide the necessary f/w needed for a successful upgrade.

To upgrade a Control Builder Project from
800xA 4.1 that has controllers containing CI851
or CI852 units, the following system extensions
must be installed and loaded after the restore to
the 800xA 5.1 System is performed, but before
Upgrade Project is performed in Control
- AC800M Classic system extension (contains
the hardware libraries for CI851 and CI852).
-AC800 SV5.0 SP2 Coexistencesystem
extension (contains BasicHWLib 5.0-2).
After Upgrade Project is performed, verify that
the controller is using BasicHWLib 5.0-2 and
the hardware libraries for CI851 and CI852 as
I like to to tell you one thing if you are upgrading from xA 4.1 to xA 5.1 it needs plant shut down means you have to do it in offline only.
But ensure system should be xA 4.0.0-1 Sp1 ru5d or later(Recommended) only supports upgrade to xA 5.1 else you may hang with engineering Ebinstance/sqlServer problems likely.
If you are going from xA4.1 to xa5.1 there is no co-existence(mixing old & new software) not works you have to upgrade the CBM, OPC & Firmware to ensure plant should be operational means it needs plant shudown.

Note:Co-existence works only from xA 5.0 onwards controller with older firmware can still conmmunicate to the newer versions of CBM & OPC but this is to ensure the online upgradation to xA5.1.
In snap i can able to find the FFHSE lib, check if you are using FFHSE lib in your application for communication if no delete from the old system(xA4.1 only) & take a fresh backup of xA after download each controller & performing the nameuploader then copy the path (c:\ABB IndustrialIT Data\engineering IT Data\Control Builder M professional.
Note: If you are using System lib you can go directly from xA 4.1 to 5.1) but if you are using PCDL then you have to go through xA4.1-xA5.0-xA5.1 means you have to upgrade each level of PCDL.
FOLLOWUP: Thank you for your response. I am performing this Upgrade in an Offline situation. All has went well to the point of resolving the Compatibility Issue" with CI852 modules. I could not find how in the new SV5.1 RevC to acquire the BasicHwLib 5.0-2 thru software installation and System Extension loading which was specified as required to properly upgrade the projects containing the CI852s.
I then decided to "export" the BasicHwLib 5.0-2 (with dependencies) from a SV5.0 SP2 System which I had available to me. I imported the BasicHwLib 5.0-2 into the SV5.1 RevC System, upgraded the Project, inserted into the Project the BasicHwLib 5.0-2 and replaced the BasicHwLib 5.1-0 within the Application. I upgraded the firmware of my controller with version 5.0-2 and downloaded successfully.
Limitation of this upgraded system is that you MAY NOT add additional CI852 modules to the Project at a future date because they are only supported for upgradation.
