Config Server - Replication failed on connectivity server
Hello all,
I have a problem to solve. I have a server config that can not replicate on connectivity servers, they are online but no replication fails, as you can see in the attachment. Until a few days ago everything worked, but two days ago I had to restore the db sql of the config server. By pressing the "replicate now" button nothing happens. I also tried to restart the connecitvity server but it did not have any effect.
Can someone help me?
Best regards,
Andrea

Hello Andrea,
You are telling that this issue started after you restored a previous version of the database? I know from personal experience with harmony systems (similar to your melody system) that you have to do some actions in a very particular order..
Please make sure your system is safely stopped before you do the following steps:
1. Stop the EbDataSyncService
2. Start SQL Engerprise manager
3. Select the configserver
4. Tools > Restore Database
5. Select the backup to restore
6. Click OK in the restore database window
7. reboot the configserver
After the reboot the replication should start automatically. If it is not started, you should take a look at the melody server tags in your tag database. Maybe they are not linked to the right hostname or something like that. Rebooting the connect server nodes can also trigger replication.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
Mitch
