Digvis OPC Configuration
Dear Team,
We need to Configure the OPC to Communicate with DIG vis 500 .
In Existing System, the DIGvis 500 is communicating with AC 500 PLC (OPC-1). Now we need to take the OPC -2 data from Kepserver. We need Examples how to add this Communication.
we have Procured keptware Bacnet to OPC Server, from this Gateway we need to configure the data in the DIG vis 500 .
i have attached the system Architecture for reference.

Hello,
in principle you need to add an OPC-Server (OPC-S) object in your P-Tree and configure the IP address and port number for the OPC connection. You would also need to install the DigiVis 500 tunnel software on the Keptware server, so the port number mentioned earlier would have to be that of the tunnel server.
In the header of the OPC-S object you need to configure the Alarm-Mapping, in case you get alarms from the Johnson Control via the Keptware OPC server.
You also need to configure the Configure-Pattern that will enable DigiVis 500 to identify the Variable Names and Tags from the OPC item names. It is necessary to understand Regular Expression patterns in order to configure those patterns for a new type of OPC server that is not Freelance or AC 500. Maybe some user who has done that already can help you out with the pattern.
You would need a license version of DigiVis 500 that allows you to configure OPC Tag types if you want to create faceplates for tags from the Johnson control. If you are just interested in variables OPC Tag Types are not needed.
The rest is similar to AC 500 configuration, meaning you browse the Ketware OPC server with the Item list and declare variables from the OPC items which you can use in Free Graphics.
Hope that helps.
P.S.: You might want to consider to update DigiVis 500 to Freelance 2016 first, because DigiVis-500 has moved to LifeCycle Limited since end of 2016.
