Shortcut keys and navigation in operator workplace
Hello all !
Fo an operator, is it possible to navigate with shortcut keys in his own workplace?
For example if he opens a graphic display, can he move to another graphic display (from the same object in the functional structure) with any keyboard keys?
Moreover, can we hide the list of graphic displays visible by the right click?
Thank you in advance

Hello,
regarding "shortcut keys", under Workplace Structure, where you find your Workplace, there is a Hot Keys aspect, which you can define eg CTRL + L to pick up a certain display.
Unfortunately I don't think you can hide the list of graphic displays when right click...

Hello,

Reply:yes,By defining Hot-key aspect for that operator workplace in the workplace str.
More help you will get in help window of workplace you call by pressing F1.
With this you can configure defferent Hot-keys for defferent purpose.
ex:alarm ack is default feature is available in all formats of xA (Revisions & Feature Pack line) only thing you can assign to the hotkey. But ensure don't assign the same hot-key for mulitple purpose within the operator workplace.
For example if he opens a graphic display, can he move to another graphic display (from the same object in the functional structure) with any keyboard keys?
Reply:In this there are two scenario's:
1. If you are in revision line you can't get hot-key action for these as a default feature to assign to hot-keys then you link the aspect link in all graphic displays with name "Previous" & "Next" & assign the aspect links but this is time consuming job we did this for many projects but here you can't assign any hot-keys here operator has to press the previous & next aspect link manually to navigate to the perticuler graphic page.
2.If you are in Feature pack line these "Navigate next or Navigate previous" are readily available for Hot-key action so that you can assign these functions to your favourite hot-keys as per the requirement.
This feaure is availble from from Fp1 Onwords.

3.can we hide the list of graphic displays visible by the right click?
Reply:You can't hide the graphics permanantly but by defining a workplace profile values you can make group the aspects based on the category.
To hide the Graphic Displays, you could define an Aspect Filter (search the Help for "Aspect Filter") that doesnt include the Graphic Display Aspect Category. If you then also remove the Filter selection itself from the Application Bar its probably good enough to hide the Aspects from the Operators.
Thats probably the same what Harsha.D wanted to say but i didn't really understand that part.
