opc server for ac 800m connection with scada intouch
I have an application running on compact control builder, using softcontroller. The opc server for ac 800m is running and is connected to the controller. I can see the items using free opc software explorer. For example the item "Photo_cell" is under Applications.Application_1.Program2.Photo_cell.My question is what "node name", "application name", "topic name" parameters I should put in wonderware intouch for read the opc items. Or which other scada software I could use?
Thanks.

scarebyte,
at first you have to install and adjust WW FSGateway - it's free of charge gateway between third party OPC servers and InTouch. After parameterizing FSGateway you'll be able to see and subscribe to OPC items in FSGateway console from AC800M OPC server, as you do it in opc explorer. After you have to define Access Name in InTouch. Node name is name of PC where AC800M OPC server runs (you can leave empty if OPC server runs on local machine). Application Name - FSGateway. Topic Name should be same as OPCGroup in FSGateway configuration.

Hi,
you can use GE- Cimplicity SCADA for this. It has a OPC client and i will automatically add all the points. It Runs for 2 hour in demo mode.
Doesn't have Intouch a browse possibility for browsing OPC items?
Another, realy good Scada System is Compact HMI, from ABB!!!!
