Alarm Acknowledge
Good day
We are looking for a way to remove the option to acknowledge process alarms on the Alarm List.
The operator should only be allow to acknowledge alarms via the faceplate or right click on the graphic element within the specific graphic display.
We try changing the configuration within "Admin Structure"
Inventory Object>Aspect Category>Alarm and Event List
And change the acknowledge permissions from "operate" to "configure" but this stop the operator from acknowledging alarms all over, not only within the Alarm List.
We then removed the acknowledge alarm buttons and Alarm State column from the alarm list but the system will still allow acknowledge from right click over an specific alarm within the list.
Is there a method to stop alarm acknowledge from the alarm list without removing the the permission from the entire system or to remove the "acknowledge" option from the context menu on the Alarm list?
Thanks
JJ

The predefined commands (verbs) on the context menu is not configurable.
"Acknowledge" is shown if the permission as defined on the Aspect Category is allowed (default is "Operate").
The system can not distinguish between a right click in process graphics, etc. or an alarm or event list. The same context menu and contents is shown regardless of origin of click.
Please raise this question with your local ABB sales representative as a request for new functionality.
