Problems with OPC FF service
Hi Everyone!
I have a problem with the service from HSE (OPCDA) on the service structure... its permanently on "initialize" status.... i dont know why, becouse in FF Builder it´s all ok, the OPC status is Running :/

This may happen if we are doing the below steps in FF fieldbus builder:
1) Open FBBFF and execute “Check whole project”
2) Switch to online mode and reconcile OPC server
3) Switch back to configuration mode
4) Reserve LD sub tree
5) Check LD sub tree
6) Switch to online mode and initialize LD / assign device
7) Download link (as it shows download arrows)
8) Reconcile OPC server (as it shows download arrows)
Now FBBFF shows no problems, but OPC server is still in state initialize.
You can overcome the issue by doing the below steps:
Check the subnet object, the OPC server will get download arrows and after a reconcile the OPC server switches state to running.
Hope this will resolve your problem.

Hello Ing,
In FF Always ensure that the HSE Subnet which you have configured during the FF network creation should be match with the FF OPC confgiure through start-programs-ABBindustrialIT800xA-Devicemanagement-Foundation fieldbus-configure
means create the number FF network IP addresses with correspoding HSE subnet ID which you were created in FF builder & click on the IP with SubnetID inside the window & press configure & give Service account with password. This should be perform for all the FF network.
Once you have perfomed this procedure automatically HSE_OPCDA & HSE_OPCAE services are automatically(No need to creare manually) created but they are "intialize"mode.
Note:In a Fieldbus Builder FF project only one HSE subnet can be configured per project.
Once you create the following:Ensure you muste be reserved.
1.OPC server corresponding to you project requirment may be single or redundant(FF OPC server shouldn't be parallel Service because it load the LD)
2.Number of LD's with redundant or non-redundant mode(after creating LD & number of H1 links 1st you have to activate the LD & then activate each H1 links individually)
3.Before creating FF objects in the application ensure Objecttype str-FFlibraries-FFupload has been performed then you can create the objects which are available in the FF builder else no object will be available in the FF Builder.
4.Perform the Total project plausibilty check & save the project.
5.Goto Commissioning mode & perform the OPC reconsile for any server by right clicking-object-reconsile by default it will do the reconsile for both the server. Here you should get "running"
6.Peroform the incremental download/full download based on your requirement depends on H1 level/LD Level.
7.Goto Service strcuture in the Plant explorer in OPCDA service for HSEsubnet-basic service group "uncheck"allow services to run in parallel mode.
Always ensure that you can create maximum of 4 subnet(4 instances of OPC)/OPC server.
